Q. Can I use my insurance ?
A. It is recommended you contact the insurance company directly. The
toll free number is on the back of your insurance card.
You may need an authorization number. Inquire about your financial
responsibility i.e. deductibles, co pays and if EAP benefits are allowed.
Q. What type of theoretical orientation do you use ?
A. I use the cognitive behavioral therapy approach. I find the skills are
easy to understand and you can acquire the skill to use in everyday life.
Q. What are your specialties ?
A. My experience has been helping adults, couples and children manage
anxiety and depression. I enjoy helping couples learn healthier
communication skills and conflict resolution skills.
Q. What can I expect from our session ?
A. I will assess your situation and recommend a treatment plan for you.
The session is 50 minutes in length. The treatment recommendation
may include individual, couple, family or group counseling. Therapy is
a weekly commitment.
Q. Do you prescribe medications ?
A. No, I do not prescribe medications as a licensed marriage and family
therapist. I can refer you to a medical doctor for an assessment.
People who have anxiety or depression often have chemical
imbalances and respond well to certain medications.
Q. How do you work with your clients ?
A. I help my clients focus on how they want their lives
to be different. Together in session we will explore the thoughts
that lead to feeling anxious, depressed or angry and make a plan to
think, act and feel better. All contacts are completely confidential.
Please call or email me today to learn how I can help you or someone you
care about begin to live a better life now.
